Facing your illness..

Being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness does not mean you have to give up hope.

Once being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, you may be shocked and feelings of disbelief despair and fear of what the future may hold may set in.

This is the right time to ask your medical practitioner to refer you to Hospice.

The stigma of “death” when Hospice is mentioned may cause the misconception of Hospice being the last and final option to consider.

 In fact, the sooner you are referred to us, the better as we can take every step with you and guide you through each day.

We care for you because you are alive and will guide you and your family, step by step, day by day, through good times and bad and help you to focus on enjoying life to its full.

Since the day we are born, we all start the dying process. Some just have a better idea of when their time will come.

You can feel comfortable to open your heart and soul to our psychosocial counselors without the fear of upsetting someone close to you.

Our psychosocial counselors will guide you and your family from the day of diagnoses, throughout your entire illness.

Our clinical staff can assist you in administering medication prescribed by your medical practitioner, monitoring of the effectiveness of medication and keeping in close contact with your medical practitioner.

They also assist in tasks which may become difficult to carry out on your own as your illness may progress.

Hospice takes care of the entire family’s needs and we help you and your family cope with every aspect of your illness throughout good days and bad.
